Amazing restaurant! The food is phenomenal, one of my favorite places to go for comfort when I’ve had a bad day. You know the food is good when it can always cheers you up. The service is top notch, everyone is always kind and attentive, they truly care about their customers and about creating a restaurant that is welcoming and comfortable. The lamb korma and garlic naan is some of the best I’ve ever had. I recommend here to anyone looking for good food. They’ve truly earned a 5/5 star rating

We ordered several dishes to share and everything was absolutely delicious! Our favorite was the butter chicken wings and the Dal. I highly recommend coming and trying multiple dishes.

I was seated right away, during my visit to New India restaurant. I ordered the Tikki chicken masala. The food arrived at my table within a few minutes of ordering.The taste of the food is beyond what I expected. The different spices used in making this dish will awaken ones taste buds in a way that will delight your senses!One of my favorite restaurants!

New India has been my favorite Indian restaurant since I was a kid. I’m 20 now and it is still my favorite restaurant! The food is stellar every time, and the service is always amazing. The staff truly cares about their customers. I have never had a less than 5 star experience here. I will never stop returning!

Had the lunch buffet today. The food was good but even though the restaurant was crowded at least 4 of the dishes were basically completely empty for the entire time we were there. My wife and I were there from 12:45 to about 1:25 so not exactly the tail end of the buffet. There really is no excuse for that. The staff is not waiting tables so what other work do they really have to do? There were fewer dishes available than either Clove or Amul and while it was good, I don't think we will go back. Plenty of other Indian in the area and empty food trays during the prime time of the buffet are one of my pet peeves.
Nice place when you get inside. There was only one other couple there yet service was very slow. Flies around are table as we were eating which took longer than it should have since hardly anyone else was there. Garlic Nona bread was great. However will not return
Lunch Veg Thali was excellent. Some of the best Dal I've ever had. Good portions and the included laasi was a nice touch. I highly recommend.Updated still good.

Seeing all these reviews, I thought they might have great authentic Indian food. It is unfortunately deceiving, especially for someone who knows Indian food. I was disappointed by the representation, quantity, and taste. The dishes didn’t look appealing at all, the chicken biryani should be called fried rice because it was sticky and had vegetable, not to mention the cubed peaces of chicken. For the price you pay, the quantity is very small unless you are using fresh ingredients which they didn’t. Overall, I will say the service was good but the food was a disaster.
I had the non vegetarian Thali and it was delicious. Very good flavor. We were hoping for the buffet but it was only on the weekends. I can only imagine how good the buffet would be on the weekends.
No buffet during the week. Food was very, very good. We've tried a number of different Indian places over the years and the taste of the dishes were exceptional. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Portion sizes were about half of what we're used to at about a 1/3 more per dish but the taste was better for sure. Will likely be back to try the buffet on the weekends.

Have been on the hunt for a good Indian restaurant in Columbus for a while. Have just found it. Food is flavorful and curries are complex, Chicken Tikka was so tender. Service was so friendly, and restaurant is clean and pleasant. Can't wait to come back.
New India is without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in Columbus! I’ve probably been here 20 times and I’ve literally never had a bad meal. I’ve had almost everything on the vegetarian menu and it’s all incredible…the best I’ve ever had! Everything is always hot and fresh, and the service is unbeatable…everyone is so kind and accommodating, it’s almost like having a home cooked meal made by a warm and inviting family! They clearly value their repeat customers and always make you feel welcome…can’t recommend enough!
We went to New India Restaurant today,We ordered Goat and Lamb with meals and also samosa the foods was really delicious and my favorite Nan is great ! The restaurant was very clean and Good service 👍
Although not an expert on Indian food, I have eaten it for twenty four years at various Indian restaurants around America and this one is good.They don't offer their buffet Monday through Thursday, but something similar that you can order for $17-18 is the Thali.This is a Sampler platter that has about 10 items.I came to there buffet about once a week from 2011-2019, it was always excellent.
Best Indian in Columbus! I've been coming here for many years. The food is consistently great! Buffet is back open on Fri & Sat.

As a newcomer to Columbus, I often rely on Google reviews to choose restaurants. Based on the great reviews, I decided to try New India Restaurant. Yesterday, I visited their lunch buffet and was impressed by the authenticity of each dish. I sampled everything, and the chicken biryani stood out with spices infused into every piece of chicken. The naan bread was soft and delicious, pairing perfectly with the goat curry, which was tender and juicy. The spinach-paneer was excellent, and the crunchy vegetable pakoras were a must-try. There’s a lot to enjoy, making it well worth your time and money.The restaurant was very clean, and the ambiance was pleasant. Upon entering, I was greeted and guided to my table, which I appreciated. There’s ample parking available. I also had the chance to speak with the owner, who is the third-generation owner/operator of the restaurant. She mentioned that New India Restaurant was established in 1970 by her grant parents and has been running successfully ever since, which is a testament to their consistent quality. For comparison, Walmart was established in 1962 and Starbucks in 1971. Kudos to the New India team!

Excellent. Tonight, we had the Vegetable Samosa, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Tikka Saag, Aloo Naan, Makhani Naan, Bhatura, with some raita. Service was great. Food was excellent.
Greedy business. Chicken tikka masala contained a few tiny cubes of chicken. I got to eat basically plain rice and sauce. Will not order foods from this place again

Very disappointed! Not at all authentic. Ordered vegetarian platter, chicken tandoori, chole bhature, garlic naan, chilli paneer and paneer masala. Everything tasted bland inspite of repeatedly asking them to be made spicy.I hope the chef sees this review and adjust the dishes to serve the needs of Indian taste palettes instead of making everything bland for everyone!
Some of the most delicious Indian food I’ve had! They have excellent vegetarian options and the Naan is baked fresh! Highly recommend!

Mostly posting to share buffet price. Lunch buffet was $18.50 per person. The food selection was pretty bad. They didn't refill empty dishes quickly. We needed to get our own water. The check was never picked up and we had to go to the front to cash out. The food selection was lacking, with few options. No butter chicken or Tikka masala and no paneer. Their naan was soft and under cooked in the center. No raita was offered. Their mixed pickles were full of pits and poorly seasoned. There were flies everywhere. The music was obnoxiously loud. I was so looking forward to coming back there for the buffet since they haven't had one since covid, but every aspect was a huge disappointment. I'm very sorry to say that the quality of their food has gone down significantly. I can't recommend this place - at least not for the buffet. This place will be closed soon. It was really terrible. So many better options.

The food was absolutely delicious! I got the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan, it was tender and so creamy. Then had a little mango yogurt dessert that was very refreshing and tasted wonderful. I highly recommend this place, I will have to come back to try the lunch buffet sometime.

Bright, cheerful, & excellent food! We had the tikka masala & chicken makhani for lunch today. It was the most flavorful we’ve had so far! 😋Definitely will be coming back for the buffet during the weekend sometime in the near future too.

Wow! This place was absolutely fantastic. I’ve been exploring Indian restaurants around Columbus and this is my favorite so far. Highly recommend their Chicken Tikka Masala and the mango pudding. The service was great as well; the food came out quick, the staff were all so nice, and we never had to wait for refills or service.

This place is absolutely delicious! We got the butter chicken, and tikka masala with the house made garlic naan …..man oh man was it hard to stop eating! We’ll be coming back on our next girls day. If you’re around here I HIGHLY recommend giving them a try! The mango lasi was the bomb as well
it used to be better ,the food is not tasty as it was before and it's over priced compared other indian restaurants, I really like the girls who work there very friendly unfortunately they're not there as often overall it's nice place and good people but it's hard to give star.
Came for the first time today, and it was looooovely! The amazing smell hits you right away, the music was beautiful and lively, and the food was delicious! The service was wonderful, they were checking on us all the time and kept our cups filled before we could even halfway empty them. As we were finishing up they even brought us the CUTEST tiny rice pudding for dessert!Will definitely be coming back to try more things!
We went to the restaurant on Friday night, they got busy real quick! The food was great, we got an appetizer, Alloo Tiki, so good! I love the black sauce, the green one was more veggie/cilantro and my husband love that! Yum yum!I also got the butter chicken, the chicken was soft, I can't eat a lot of spicy so my order was mild and it was so good, creamy sauce was so perfect especially the RICE! Rice wasn't dry at all! I can eat more and more rice hereEveryone at the restaurant was nice, it was a great Friday dinner!

I came here with my brother who loves Indian food and I tried Vegetable Pakora and the Naan Bread , it was pretty tasty .My brother ordered the buttered chicken and rice and unfortunately it had hair in it. The Mango Lassi was tastyOverall the staff was nice, and the laid back vibe of the restaurant was relaxing. It was just okay!
We found this place next to our hotel and turned out to be a really good place. The food and service were great!!! We will definitely come back if we are in this area :)
Tried this place with my husband while on a day trip through Dublin, Ohio. The food was exceptional, hard to find north Indian food like this back in Chicago. We had Chana Saag with onion kulcha and lamb kadhai with garlic naan. Both the curries were delicious. I love that there was no cream put in the curries. The ambience was decent. The servers were very hospitable and attentive. The bill was worth every penny.MUST TRY AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!
The time we visited was a little after lunch so it was quiet. There were lots of pick up though. I would say this is also added to the fave Indian restaurants around our area. Do give them a try we had a great experience! 👍🎖🏆🌲
